Within the world of Teyvat, people find their soulmates by a mark the receive on their body at the age of seventeen. This mark solely depends on whether or not their soulmate will become an allogene, or a vision bearer. If one's soulmate is destined to become a vision bearer, then the mark appears as the elemental sign that the soulmate's vision is connected to. If one's soulmate is not destined to become a vision bearer, then the mark simply appears as the first letter of the soulmate's name. After receiving their mark, soulmates will feel a sort of sensation whenever they are near their soulmate. Some describe it as burning, others describe it as warmth, and some as a tingling sensation where their mark is located. The mark appears where their soulmate touches them for the first time. These are the stories of the people of Teyvat and their soulmates. #1-The Captain and the Dandelion Jean had always thought that on the morning of her 17th birthday she would wake up with a soulmate mark on her left palm, confirming that a certain red headed Knight in training, Diluc Raginvinder, was her soulmate. However, in the the early morning hours she checks to see that no mark is there. Jean is confused and disappointed, but goes on with her normal day. Later in the day she notices a slight tingling sensation when near Diluc's adopted brother Kaeya. This doesn't seem possible, and neither brother seems to be the wiser. Jean is stuck between her love for her best friend and what others would consider a predetermined fate. Artist For The Cover: @LoudPenguin on Twitter.

Instead of crying when in pain, he always laughed, cackled and giggled in delighted glee to cover up the bleeding of his heart. With a tongue made of silver, Kaeya Alberich was the master of language, able to twist everything into anything he wanted it to be, the intention behind every word hidden with such ease it lying was almost instinctive at times. Jean eventually learned to treat his silence as confessions and his laughter as tears streaming down his face. And how she wished to see him shed a tear. 5 times Kaeya laughed instead of crying and 2 times he cried instead of laughing. AKA the Kaejean Angst fic no one asked for.
