Marinette and Luka have been neighbors and best friends since kindergarten. Everything seems to be ideal between the two up until puberty hits and new faces enter their lives. Between TTSM and CR After Gabriel Agreste's defeat and arrest, the truth spreads quickly across Paris: he was Hawk Moth all along. The city reels... and so do Adrien and Félix. With their father imprisoned, their home emptied, and their world shaken, Kagami decides the twins need a place far from the chaos, a place to breathe, heal, and rediscover who they are beyond Gabriel's shadow. Tokyo. Kagami invites Adrien, Félix, and Marinette to spend the entire summer with her grandmother in Japan. Marinette chooses to go along, partly to support Adrien, partly because she senses he needs someone who truly understands him, and partly because... something about this new chapter feels important. But Tokyo holds its own secrets.

This is a fanfiction based off of Marc and Nate's drawings in the episode titled "Gabriel Agreste" (season 4, episode 9). Certain dynamics have been changed, as well as some plot points, but since this is an AU I think that's fine. Also a huge thanks to my friend @SugarRushMunchy for helping me plan so much of this out! Originally published on: 27. October 2018 Adrien feels compelled to help his father find the miraculouses and its spellbook, even though he had cut his relationship with him after his father blamed him for Mrs. Agreste's murder. With the assistance of the dethroned Kagami they go on an adventure and the two young adults bond with each other during the trip and Kagami starts to feel more and more guilty about knowing the future of Adrien.
