People have already became anxious at the appearance of ghouls everywhere. Especially Korea. In Seoul which is now known as Ward 1, is now affiliated with ghouls and most Koreans now have trust issues about those whom they trust. Who knows that their most best friends might be a ghoul in disguise. Now, kids don't dream of becoming policemen or firefighters. They dream of being CCG investigators. Now, the world is not in peace. The world is now a battlefield of a never-ending cold war between humans and ghouls. The world has changed.

This is book 2 if you haven't read book one "The Ghoul" you won't know what's going on in this story. Months past and Kaneki been making sure agori doesn't hurt anyone. Batman and Superman have been on a mission to look for a pit to bring Kaneki's friend Hide back. The world is getting used to Ghouls some people want them captured others want them exterminated.
