Based on the Hearts of Iron 4 mod of the same name, the story depicts a world after the victory of the German Kaiserreich in the Weltkreig. By 1936 revanchist Syndicalists governments have arisen in Britain, France, and part of Italy, planning to take back the land which the Kaiserreich took, and take down the German Hegemon. The exiled governments of these countries keep the losing Entente scattered yet united in a common goal, to return home. Instability in Russia threatens to spill out, and with the Germany prosperity looking far from failing, only time will tell who will emerge from the inevitable Second Weltkreig alive.

The Eastern Bear follows Victor Maghakian, an Armenian American living during the time after the weltkrieg in the Kaiserreich Universe. The telling of the Second American Civil War, the ideas and tactics he learned under the tutelage of field marshall George Marshall, the uphill battle of returning for brief, fleeting moments to the woman he loves, and the second invasion of Europe.

The book deals with some small changes in history, concluding in Brandenburg/Prussia becoming a major colonial power. The first chapters are pure (alternate) history but the rest is about the personal fate of a linguist in the Prussian port colony Gwadar in today's Pakistan. On his example I will show the life in such a colony.
