AN: AU story and I do not own Naruto or any of the characters just my OCs After the death of his wife Sakumo thought he wouldn't find love again, so he focused on being a father to his son Kakashi and protecting the Leaf village. He was happy, and content raising his son, but he missed having someone by his side. He tried get back into the dating world, but none of the women he encountered left a lasting impression on him. That is until he meets Miyuki. Miyuki thought she was done with love after the death of her abusive husband. After escaping that nightmare with her daughter Hikari, Miyuki moves to the hidden Leaf, opens a bakery, and plans on restarting her life. With her focus on her business, helping her daughter becoming a ninja, Miyuki has no time for relationships. That is until a certain White Fang swoops her off her feet. Neither thought they'd fall in love again but when they did, they wasted no time getting married. Now a blended happy family, Sakumo and Miyuki live happy lives raising their children in perfect bliss. That is until a decision on a crucial mission causes Sakumo to be ostracized by the village, he ends up taking his own life. Brokenhearted by grief and hatred for the villagers, Miyuki drowns her sorrows in alcohol, completely forgetting about Kakashi and Hikari; soon after she passes away from liver failure and alcohol poisoning. Kakashi and Hikari are now orphaned, but they're not alone. Kakashi, not wanting to make the same mistakes as his father, becomes cold-hearted and takes on a "by the rule" mindset, but that doesn't stop him from carking for Hikari; who hasn't been same cheery kid she use-to be. Through all the drama and stress of the ninja world, the step siblings find love and comfort with each other.
