Rei is assigned to keep an eye on him, to pull him out the dark hole that he's found himself in, even though the two have a rocky relationship themselves. Rei now spends every minute of the day keeping an eye on Kakashi, trying to slap some sense into the talented Anbu agent. Through their time together Kakashi will see that it's not just his failures he's met his match with, but a girl who sees him for who he really is, someone special, someone great, but most importunately, someone who's needed to forge the future of the next generation of ninja.
