Film Review

An attempt to review #Kalank, a big budget star vehicle that takes Bollywood back to its roots. Or at least attempts to.

Roop and Satya, two best friends. Love the same man: Zafar chaudhary. Zafar was left all alone on the streets by his mother Bahaar Begum and his illegitimate father Balraj chaudary. Roop's brother Dev secretly falls in love with Satya. Who's love story blooms? Keep Reading to find out.

Kalank's core theme is a question. Is love a stain or an embellishing imprint? (Throwback to Surf Excel's 'Daag Acche Hain' campaign) This film is a mark on a surface (it can be the lens through which it was shot or maybe the screen through which we look at it). Whether this spot is smeary or ornamental is not the point of concern. The real issue is that this surface(canvas) is spurted with a random splash of vibrant colors that reduce this spot to a minuscule freckle - The theme, the idea it all swipes out of the focus and is only reiterated through a 'title' song and an epilogue at the very end.

A girl cursed by fate, a man bound by duty. When destiny binds them, will love bloom... or will shadows of the past prevail?

Warning: This is a BL fanfiction of Kalank. Please don't read if you are offended by BL. I liked the movie and then I did not like the movie for various reasons. I have switched the characters around a little bit. Dev is the one who is marrying into the family. Roop is an unwed mother. Balraj is the man with a plan. Originally I wanted to use Timmy Xu as Dev, but I thought it would be confusing to see a Chinese guy in an Indian movie setting LOL.

So guys as we know that when We watched Kalank 🔥 movie we felt very bad for ZAFAR 🥺🔥 and also VD ❤️ deserves best charecter . KALANK movie was ended not a story 🤗🤗🤗 and I decided to write kalank 2 . In this story have amazing 😍🤩 twists and more interesting facts . Guys I hope you are all like this story🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

What if Zafar survived that day? What if he went back to Roop to only find that she's living happily with Dev now? What if his hearts break again? What if this time he can't heal? But alas she's here to heal him, from the time she saw him , she felt connection with him... She see past the monster he had became .... She's determine to heal him , to make him see that world doesn't end here , that world have many more things to give , that's why he didn't die that day.. But what if in the process of healing him , she breaks her heart? What if she fell in love with him , but he didn't have the same feeling back ?

This is both, a review of an Indian extravaganza film experience-Kalank-, as well as a meditation on language, relevance, costume, and time.
