Adrishta: The Final Incarnation Volume I - The Fall Written by Dark Foxey While exploring a forbidden ancient site buried deep beneath the Himalayas, a man comes closer than anyone ever has to uncovering a truth long erased from history. But just as the final answer reveals itself... he dies. His soul is taken by the ruler of death, for final judgment. Yet something is wrong. No sins. No virtues. No karmic threads binding him to past or future. A life without good. A life without evil. A soul that does not belong to the cycle. Before judgment can be passed, he does the impossible - he escapes. But destiny cannot be denied. In a universe collapsing under the weight of Kalyug, his existence has already disturbed the balance of creation. Reborn into a world on the brink of cosmic ruin, he must uncover why he was never part of the karmic cycle... and why the gods fear his return. When time itself begins to fracture, only one truth remains: Some souls are not reincarnated by fate. They are reborn to end it.

Yuga- a holy name of era in Hindu mythology depicting the timeline of existence of Gods and particular set of people. Wait a second! Am I right by calling it a timeline of Gods and people? Well! that is a traditional way of representing; however, a Yuga is actually more than just Gods and people. Our life is generally composed of five basic qualities namely; sadness, fear, confidence, proud, happiness. Every thing we do in our life is in one way or other related to these characteristics. For example love is a way to express happiness and eliminate sadness. However, when a human is bonded to these qualities, they can never attain complete state of peace. Unfortunately in the process of attaining it, they end up on the path of injustice and start promoting evil. Now is it wise to give up all the qualities just to attain satisfaction? In every Yuga, due to a bonding towards pleasures and materialistic happiness, people take the path of injustice and when it out balances justice, God steps in and restores the balance. So, we start worshiping him as our savior. However, we often forget that we humans, nature, animals etc all are nothing but Gods. If a piece of diamond is also a diamond; then a piece of God is also a God. If we are Gods and Goddesses, then is it possible to become omnipotent, attain complete state of peace, become our own saviors? Well! I invite all of you to the odyssey which explores the Kali Yuga and its principles of attaining peace in the form of an imaginary story about a philosopher and Kalki- The Hero of Kali Yuga.

Nine times, Vishnu descended to save the world. The tenth time, he comes to end it. But first, they made him human. The year is 2099. The sacred rivers run black with poison. The air is thick enough to choke on. Children have become rare - and in gleaming laboratories, a corporation called Vritra grows replacements in artificial wombs, playing with forces older than they know. In the scriptures, they speak of Kali Yuga - the age of darkness, the final age, when dharma crumbles and humanity forgets what it once was. They speak of a prophecy: that when the world reaches its lowest moment, a final avatar will descend to end the cycle. They have been waiting for five thousand years. In a village hidden between the folds of time and space, a woman dies giving birth as soldiers burn everything around her. The child survives - pulled from blood and fire by an immortal who has waited since the age of Rama for this moment. His name is Kalki. Raised in a secret ashram under the protection of beings who have walked the earth for millennia, Kalki grows in innocence while shadows gather. Ancient demons stir in the realm beneath. A man who believes himself humanity's savior falls deeper under the influence of something far older. And the seven deathless guardians - warriors, sages, and kings cursed or blessed to live until the end of time - must decide how much truth the boy can bear. Because the prophecy promises a destroyer. It says nothing about whether the destroyer gets a choice. Kalkiayan draws from the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Puranas, and the Kalki Purana - weaving ancient prophecy into a story of gods and monsters, corporate greed and cosmic reckoning, and one boy who must become something more than human to save what remains of the world. Or burn it all so something better can grow.

His younger son, a much loved and popular prince, is down south in Sri Lanka waging war. While his daughter, the princess, is at the palace taking care of the Emperor. Written in 5 volumes, this story centers around the events surrounding the succession of a Chola Emperor. It is arguably the most widely read and popular Tamil novel. It stands out as a masterpiece with it's in-depth characterization and engaging narrative. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This translation is by Indra Neelameggham, and is reproduced here with some minor edits. I DO NOT own the translation or the original work, and am not using it for any profit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guide To Pronunciation : Some of the names in the narrative have the tamil 'zh' letter, which is to be pronounced in a sort of a 'ya' sense. Your tongue should work so as to pronounce 'la', but the sound is somewhat like 'ya'.

"What choice are you talking about?" Those were the first words Rahu spoke when he woke up. Beaten. Bloodied. Alone. He didn't know yet that the answer would cost him everything. Rahu is nobody special. A boy who survived when he shouldn't have. A son who couldn't save his father. A leader who never wanted to lead. In a world where Dharma has been forgotten, where Ravana is worshipped and Krishna is a myth, he is just another man trying to hold together what little remains. But the dream won't leave him alone. A battlefield soaked in blood. Mountains of corpses stretching to the horizon. A figure so dark that light itself chooses to look away. And a voice that finds him every night in the dark - "I made my choice a mahayug ago. Now it's your turn." This is the story of Kalki - the tenth avatar of Vishnu, the destroyer of evil, the saviour of humanity. At least, that's what they want you to believe. Some stories are not what they appear. Some heroes are not who you think. And some choices - made in grief, in rage, in the quiet desperation of a man who just wanted to be enough - echo across yugas in ways nobody could have predicted.
