Fun fact: while I watched the original series on tape as a kid, I truly began to fall in love with Pokémon because of the XY & XYZ anime seasons. Sun and Moon tipped me fully into the fandom, but I will always remember XY fondly (Ash was robbed of his win in Kalos; change my mind). Unfortunately, because I didn't have a Pokémon-compatible console until the Switch (at age FIFTEEN) my first games were Sword and Shield. Anyway... I hope you enjoy!
