He moved into the Kalos region a few months before his eleventh birthday; and had lived peacefully with all the other residents since then. He had no want or desire to leave his home to become a trainer, nor to explore, or even to travel and see Kalos' major landmarks and cities. Calem was comfortable where he was, with his friends, family, and his partner Froakie. That was, until, something terrible happened; something that endangers Vaniville, and may possibly endanger even the Kalos region itself. Something that forced Calem to leave; and abandon everything he found safety in. Calem had to run, for his life and everything he loved. Pushed into a sorrowful world with few allies and scarce guidance, Calem begins his journey to save his hometown from the peril it faces, in hopes he will become strong enough to save Vaniville. A new school term starts for a relatively famous chain of school called Oak High School which is scattered across various regions. In particular, an outstanding student called Ash Ketchum aged 15 has been transferred from his original Oak High School in the Kanto region to another Oak High School in the Kalos region due to his excellent grades.
