I never intended to do any sort of drabbles, but then I started taking requests, and a good friend of mind requested a short of a story. this story is based on when kaneki just got his memories back. he doesn't know what to do next. he goes to hide house. He expects to see his buddy but he sees hide as a female. what made him choose to change and why. Kaneki also notices his behaving differently and wants to find out what's going on..

Was he in love with an illusion? or Is he in love with an illusion? Is Hide dead? or Is Hide alive?

Panic. That was the feeling that consumed Hide's mind while being held captive in a room for days. But being held against his will isn't his only problem; there's something different about his body, and he doesn't know what. Hide wouldn't call it an obsession, just simply looking out for his best friend. That was a perfectly good explanation for the stalking and the cameras. It was perfectly fine to isolate Kaneki away from everyone else, because 'everyone else' was a danger, Hide wasn't dangerous, and Hide loved Kaneki, so it was perfectly acceptable. This one shot is a song-fic for the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. I personally thought this song would be a nice fit for Kaneki and Hide, the first time I heard it that's what I thought of.
