Haise Sasaki has been living a normal life as a ghoul investigator at the CCG, living with his squad known as the Quinckes; Saiko, Mutsuki, Shirazu and Urie. What he doesn't know is that he used to be a ghoul himself with a group that resided in the coffee shop called Anteiku. In this group, he was close friends with a ghoul who goes by the nickname "Rabbit" to the CCG. Maybe an encounter with her at her new coffee shop ":re" will jog his memory back and this friendship will become something more.

CCG finally decided to halt their mission knowing no more ghouls existed after beilieving that they had slautered every single one of them. But a good amount of ghouls survived, one of them being Kamishiro Shi. Her whole existence she never knew what her past was all about. With her meeting new people in the Jujutsu world she was able to learn, accept, love and finally find the family she deserved to be in. Most importantly all the untold truths in her life was finally slowly being unraveled. "I won't leave you now that I have finally found the people... the family that I will bleed for no matter what. The life of a ghoul...usually isn't very pleasant. No matter what we do, we end up encountering danger and death at some point. But we still try to avoid it. Why? Because most of us still want the chance to live the life of a human, even it's temporary.
