Kaneki has had lots of troubles dealing with Anxiety all his life and he's had many depression problems. he doesn't let it show because he doesn't want to be judged and ridiculed. Ayato has always dealt with depression, his family life was never okay, his sister took her own life and he was bullied as a child. He isolates himself so that he won't feel pain anymore. What will happen when these two meet? will they be each other's rocks? or will it lead to more pain.

I know I said I was going to write another AkisexYuki one-shot but after watching Tokyo Ghoul Root A I had to write this. SPOILERS if you haven't seen the last episode yet. This is little insight of Kaneki's feelings about Hide and its my take on the ending. Hope you guys enjoy! :3

Hide was always very good at reading people, so whenever people told Hide about the black haired boy who always seemed to have a book, he could tell, nobody knew a thing about him. 20 years pass and Tokyo overgoes reconstruction. After the attack on 20th Ward the CCG and government devise a series of defense mechanisms across the country. To avoid the overpopulation of ghouls the CCG creates a massive wall that divides former Japan, into New Tokyo, and the Kingdom of the One Eyed Ghoul. Enter Hide, sent on his first mission: infiltrate the Ghoul kingdom.

Haise goes to the CCG headquarters to grab some documents. On the way there, he runs into a blond boy with dark hair roots. He seems to be working with the CCG as well. Both head towards the headquarters together, making conversation about their occupations. A year later, Haise and Hide start to date. Their relationship seems to be going well, but Haise is hiding a secret about those voices inside his head... In this story, Hide doesn't lose half of his face and he's told that Kaneki died. No smut here! Sorry I'm not good at those. Only angst and fluff so get ur tissues ready. I do not own tokyo ghoul nor the fanart on the cover, just this story. All credits go to the rightful owners! In a blink of an eye, months and years ran past Kaneki and Hide like a bullet train. Kaneki, as he would always say, became a great writer. People love his books, people loved him. Hide, on the other hand was working in a company. His salary was average, and every month -as soon as he got his salary- Hide would treat Kaneki to his favorite food.
