It has been a couple of months since the death of Kaori Miyazono. Kousei Arima has been accepted in an overseas academy, forcing him to leave those close to him. On his new musical adventure, he encounters a joyful girl, who reminds him of Kaori; bringing back painful yet enjoyable memories.

Meanwhile... Kousei has learned to love piano again. All because of last spring. Its a new year, and Kousei has got back into his old routine. Learn a piece, practice the piece to call his own, and perform for the world to hear and enjoy. But now its to and for his enjoyment. He travels all over the world to perform. Soon, to his suprise, someone comes back to join him on his trip. "I met the girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms, and my fate has just begun to change."

Kaori did better on her studies and persued a higher level of being a violinist. Moving to Miyagi, she started anew on Karasuno High where she continued her studies as a second year student. Despite having a certain time limit in her life, she tried to ignore it and lived the best of her days. She even got to meet the famous Karasuno Volleyball team and a person whom she missed dearly during her childhood. A lot of things has been happening in her life. But will love be involved too..?
