Ngunit sa sandaling kakainin na niya ang natitirang buwan, nakialam na ang mga lahi nina Malakas at Maganda. Sa pamumuno ng isang ordinaryong tao, magawa kaya ni Lakan na magapi ang dambuhalang halimaw?

Ito ang kwento ng mga Aswang na hindi lamang basta mga halimaw sa dilim, kundi mga sinaunang paksyon na nagmamanipula sa lipunan mula sa anino. Ito ang kwento ng mga Diwata na ang mga kaharian ay hindi gawa sa ulap, kundi nakakubli sa mga lamat ng dimensyong hindi pa natutuklasan ng modernong siyensya. Mula sa mga Tikbalang na nagbabantay sa mga pintuan ng oras, hanggang sa mga Kapre na may hawak ng mga selyadong alaala ng ating lahi, isang malaking lihim ang nanganib na mabunyag. Isang lumang kasunduan ang nabasag, at ang pader na naghihiwalay sa mundo ng mga tao at sa mundo ng mga mahiwagang nilalang ay unti-unti nang nagdaragiti. "Hindi sila nawala. Nagtago lamang sila. At ngayon, handa na silang bawiin ang mundong unang naging sa kanila." Handa ka bang alamin ang katotohanan sa likod ng gabi? O mas pipiliin mong manatili sa ligtas na yakap ng kasinungalingan?
