Once a land of vibrant life, Hrefna's homeland is utterly destroyed-swallowed by a relentless sea of sand, brought ruin upon by the wicked machinations of the Western, Southern, and Eastern lords in alliance with the fanatical Melon cult. As Leo begins to share unsettling dreams that haunt the family, Ino is obligated to share the truth about sharing places in history. The family's horrific experiences and the frightening warnings hidden in Leo's nightmares are depicted in a different way in each dream. Mula sa mga Tikbalang na nagbabantay sa mga pintuan ng oras, hanggang sa mga Kapre na may hawak ng mga selyadong alaala ng ating lahi, isang malaking lihim ang nanganib na mabunyag. Isang lumang kasunduan ang nabasag, at ang pader na naghihiwalay sa mundo ng mga tao at sa mundo ng mga mahiwagang nilalang ay unti-unti nang nagdaragiti. "Hindi sila nawala. Nagtago lamang sila. At ngayon, handa na silang bawiin ang mundong unang naging sa kanila." Handa ka bang alamin ang katotohanan sa likod ng gabi? O mas pipiliin mong manatili sa ligtas na yakap ng kasinungalingan?
