She's loved Hakuji ever since the day her father took him into their home. One day, Koyuki proposed to Hakuji over the doorstop while the fireworks exploded in the sky. Koyuki loved Hakuji so dearly, as did he. Her and Hakuji were about to get married but one day, Koyuki and her father went to fetch water from a well, not knowing that it had been poisoned. It didn't take long for them to feel the effects of the poison, with Koyuki passing away within ten minutes of drinking it. Hakuji returned home and people in the village told him about their deaths, and he rushed home. The first thing he did was cradle Koyuki's pale and cold body in despair. Koyuki woke up, and found herself as a young child. She realized she had reincarnated with the same looks and name as her first life and decided to take the new life she had to find Hakuji, her love. She heard about the demon slayer corps and thought that it might be easier to find Hakuji if she joined it. Koyuki goes on a mission to Asakusa, just to monitor demon activity. She ends up running into Tanjiro and Nezuko, who's turned into a demon. Koyuki, after listening to Tanjiro's explanation, decides against killing Nezuko, and they parted ways. As she walks down a path, she notices a demon with a familiar face that suddenly disappeared. She called out Hakuji's name. Nothing replied. She decided to drop it but she keeps the face in mind and tries to find more information on this demon. One day, after a mission with the flame hashira Rengoku Kyojuro on the Mugen train, another demon had suddenly appeared, making a loud sound as it hit the ground.
