[this story has a reader with they/them pronouns, also you kinda take place as Ethan] (y/n) was a recruit sent to find out about the sudden drop of population in a certain village, they were told nothing and were sent as soon as they could get them to, 'important work' they said. since the very second they got there, eyes have been on their back, and as they travel the village in search for a way to leave, they slowly become prey for their own fate.

When (Y/N) discovered the world in her dreams was not just a nightmare, she knew she'd have to be careful. Love was not something on her plate.
