Clay hat eine schreckliche Vergangenheit, die er so schnell wie möglich und so gut es nur geht entfliehen möchte. Bei seiner Flucht trifft er auf George, einen Bandleader, der ihn sofort in den Bann zieht. Durch einen Zufall hilft er George, der ihn daraufhin eine Belohnung seiner Wahl anbietet. Er entscheidet sich dafür ein paar Tage bei ihm unterzukommen. In diesen paar Tagen erlebt er mehr, als er sich je hätte vorstellen können. Clay findet nicht nur einen neuen Job, neue Freunde und darunter eine große Liebe, sondern trifft auch noch auf alte Bekannte, die er lieber für immer aus seinem Leben streichen sollte. TW!!!!!!!!!! description of violence, death, swearing Heaven and Hell, they sure are two different places. You'd imagine heaven being this place way up in the clouds where Angels sing, and everything is perfect and only the kind souls go.
