Keiko Mei Tadaomi was found and adopted by Karasuma Tadaomi who took her under his care and was a fatherly figure towards her. With her dark past and special features, she was one great mystery. When Karasuma found Keiko, she was in a state of complete terror. She had closed off her heart, not allowing trust or love to enter. She was dark and withdrawn, her eyes haunted and empty. When Keiko was fifteen, Karasuma decided to send her to Class-E in hopes of her finding friendship and coming out of her shell, while also getting involved with killing Koro-Sensei. The dangerous creature, capable of flying through the sky at Mach 20 and having already destroyed seventy percent of the moon, leaving it permanently in a crescent shape, declared that "if I am not killed by next March, I will destroy the Earth," and requested to become the homeroom teacher of Kunugigaoka Junior High School Class 3-E. In order to assassinate the creature, the government turns to the White Room's greatest masterpiece, Ayanokōji Kiyotaka, and asks him to carry out the assassination.
