MAJOR VOLUME 2 SPOILERS!! Shortly after the Upside Down leaks into Hawkins, the group decides to go back down there to collect data while the creatures and Vecna are destroyed. When in the alternate world, Dustin and Steve go back to Eddie's trailer. Dustin goes to see Eddie one last time before burying him. When he makes his way over there, the body is gone, and so is Steve. Trigger Warning - Substances, sensitive topics, (heavy) gore, and infinite sadness.

After losing the man who had finally managed to spark something in Steve's heart, Steve has been unable to sleep without seeing visions of horrible things. One night things change though when a red-eyed creature taps at his window and whispers a familiar phrase. Warnings: This story will contain some gore, I'll add more warnings as anything else pops up. There will also possibly be violence, talk about d3@th, light sexual references. There is talk of depression, anxiety, nightmares. Time period: This story takes place nine months after season 4 (so that would be late December) but I forgot to do the math while writing it until now so forgive me for that pls :(. For the sake of keeping the characters in Hawkins I'm pretending the "earthquake" barely affected much of the town, the Upside Down isn't taking over as much as it is at the end of the show.

Eddie gasped, he knew this feeling. Waking up in a cold sweat was no stranger to Eddie; but this time felt different, the searing pain all over his body was the thing that made it very much different. Although where he had woken up, felt more nightmarish than his actual nightmares. --- Steddie, Vampire/Kas Eddie, and some actual angst and not just fluff through and through.
