Two girls; Kassidy & Cassie. Just a couple of bestfriends, lookin' for some fun together. But when a mysterious boy seems to stalk them home on the bus at such a late hour, memories of Kassidy's past begin to arise, and she soon realises that again, the fate of herself and her closest friends aren't exactly in her hands anymore. She attends a training college for a very specific group of passionate people to further her education and escape a marriage she hates the idea of, and there encounters a rival who fights for the top grade just as much as she strives for it. Alex Vladan is a twenty-one year old fighter from a ridiculously rich background, set on getting into task force three (the most intense and dangerous force the college trains recruits for), and proving himself worthy of choosing his own future. Kass immediately catches his eye with her natural grace and calm, hidden personality. They both get recruited for task force three and begin to work together. So she schemes a way to get right to the heart of enemy territory and risk everything for a second time to give freedom to her teammates and the rest of the country. But Alex is terrified of what will become of her. How will they resolve what is swelling in both their hearts, and how can Alex protect Kass when she isn't allowed to mean anything to him?
