After losing the man who had finally managed to spark something in Steve's heart, Steve has been unable to sleep without seeing visions of horrible things. One night things change though when a red-eyed creature taps at his window and whispers a familiar phrase. Warnings: This story will contain some gore, I'll add more warnings as anything else pops up. There will also possibly be violence, talk about d3@th, light sexual references. There is talk of depression, anxiety, nightmares. Time period: This story takes place nine months after season 4 (so that would be late December) but I forgot to do the math while writing it until now so forgive me for that pls :(. For the sake of keeping the characters in Hawkins I'm pretending the "earthquake" barely affected much of the town, the Upside Down isn't taking over as much as it is at the end of the show.

Its been a week since Eddie Munson's death. Steve and Dustin and the rest of the crew are trying to stop the gate and close it forever. This story takes place after season 4 with some changes of course. The group temporarily defeats Vecna but in nowhere close to finishing him off. Hawkins is abandoned in fear of it collapsing again. The government deems the group unsafe because wherever they go Vecna follows. The group is placed in a house outside of Hawkins to start over fresh.... or at least that's what they're told. (The kids all stay in one house!) Steddie, Byler, and Ronance (Ofc there's angst) Possible TW: Self harm, Homophobia, Suicidal themes, abuse and Violence. after eddie's death, there have been many many people making predictions of how he may still be alive. theories of what happened have filled our tiktok and instagram pages. although many people may not believe in the kas theory I thought of a story idea and just decided to get writing.
