❝ In violence, we forget who we are. ❞
Shizuo Heiwajima is irrefutably the 'strongest man in Ikebukuro'. Inciting unintentional fear in fellow civilians with his remarkably monstrous strength, his infamous title is not to be taken delicately. This, however, stimulates a sense of isolation from the ordinary-- since when was Ikebukuro a 'normal' place to inhabit, anyway? As each grain of time filters down the hourglass of existence, Shizuo seems to branch further and further away from his ideal of living a peaceful, quiet life, while drowning in the essence he hates most: violence.
Violence is the very action that you love most. Polar opposites from the bartender-suited male, strife is the one thing you cannot cause from your outwardly gentle disposition and fragility. Being a newcomer, you quickly learn that settling in Ikebukuro is not an easy task, especially when a serendipitous encounter with the renowned strongest man leaves you facing utter stupefaction.
