"What if..." Katara's voice was barely above a whisper, and she forcibly swallowed the lump in her throat. Her mother's face floated before her, ash falling from the corners of her eyes. "What if I don't..." Aang's lifeless body flashed in her mind, lightning dancing across his spine. "What if I can't forgive him?" Forgiveness isn't easy. (And really, who ever said it was?) This fic follows Katara's emotional journey from the events of "The Western Air Temple" to those of "The Southern Raiders," as she experiences firsthand both the challenges and rewards of forgiving others (and perhaps even learns to forgive herself along the way).

What if? ....of the things that could change, this is would have the biggest impact. An AU of Katara and kya switching fates, but kya died didn't she? but who would kill a child? Yon Rah wouldn't. Years later, Katara joins up with her brother and the gaang, to end this war....hopefully Zutara? Maybe this is more of a Katara-centric.

Avatar Aang defeats Firelord Ozai and ends the Hundred Year War. Feeling over the moon, he goes back to the Fire Nation, expecting a reunion with Katara. However, his entire world flips upside down when he finds out she has died in her fight against Azula. Aang and Sokka deal with the aftermath as the person most important to them is gone. Or is she? Kataangst with a happy ending. Lots of Sukka. Lots of Team Avatar moments.

What if Aang killed Ozai? How would it affect him and those around him? Feeling immense self guilt and self loathing, Avatar Aang disappears from the world but has to return three years later when the world is in danger and needs his help. A powerful spirit has captured his loved ones in his absence. What will Aang do? Angst with a happy ending. Kataang, Sukka, Maiko. COMPLETED.
