However Some prefer to keep them hidden from the rest of their friends, sometimes out of concern for them or just pure stubbornness. It is a fanfiction from the series. this story touches on stuff like PTSD, has a little bit of scary Imagery due to nightmares, and it's placed a year or so after the war. Modern AU-Avatar universe. Aang ran away and became a refugee in the fire nation. One day he collapsed on the sidewalk from exhaustion. He thought he was gonna die but then a woman in blue sneakers passed by and saw Aang and rolled him an apple to eat. Aang tried to look up to see who it was but couldn't but instead saw the girl's shoes.

. . Long long ago, a tale untold by many, before the Era of Raava. Approximate date is unknown, estimate is 50,000 BG. An island exist, it's size no bigger than 20KM², on it's left side, the Moon half submerged. On the right, the Sun, also half submerged. In front of it, high mountains whence the cold air flows. Behind it the unforgiving desert, wherein none hast ever escaped. On the middle of the island, a peach tree stood tall, underneath it could be seen; a man drinking tea. Now 30,000 years into the future, the spirit of Light, Raava, duels her brother the spirit of Darkness, thus starting the Harmonic Convergence. Such an event only happens once per 10,000 years, however this time was the only time it was different. Nearing their ten thousand years of battle, Raava and Vaatu appeared before the Sacred Peach Tree, within the Plane of Tawazun. Both were shocked, since none know what is happening. The man drinking tea calmly explains to them what is going on, and though they were certainly befuddled, they still listened. As they leaves, the words he said plague their minds, until a certain humans broke their fighting. And thus is what the man said; "Once the Convergence reached it's conclusions, only then shall the world change, and thy shall reveal thyself to the world thou hast preserve. Cities on top of Lion Turtles, humanity becoming the cause of conflict, thy shall be there to watch it unfolds through times untold." . .

Aang is a regular guy who just moved to Canada for his studies. He isn't a nerd but has a very sharp and psychological mind. He is also the Avatar. On his first day in school he meets a girl named Katara and they instantly fell in love with her. The rest is in the book.

After leaving Aang for Zuko, Katara thinks her life is finally on track. Aang was left heartbroken and lost, allowing himself to fall into a rut of sadness for months, while Katara gained happiness with Zuko. The gaang splits up to fulfill their duties and years pass. Unexpectedly, Toph and Aang begin to grow closer and find out they have feelings for each other. When the gaang reunites after being apart for so long, Katara can't help but feel jealous of Toph, and begins to question whether or not she still has feelings for Aang. ___________________________________ This story is basically about a love triangle between Toph, Aang, and Katara. (I don't know which relationship is going to be endgame yet) I know not everyone is a huge fan of Taang (TophxAang) but I've actually come to like it as a ship. They compliment each other in a certain way that just makes sense. I also still love Kataang though, don't worry. Stick around to see what happens!
