Inspired by Chinese Drama Truth or Dare or 花好月又圆 / The flowers are blooming and the moon is full Katara, daughter of the Water Tribe, is put into an arranged marriage with Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation. Neither said No, but neither were exactly happy. Zuko didn't particularly care, and Katara understood her duty, but it didn't stop her from yearning after the masked hero who saved her life.

Choosing to help Aang and Katara in the catacombs of Ba Sing Se was the right thing to do, but it cost him everything. Betrayed and captured by his sister Azula, Zuko and his Uncle Iroh were delivered into the hands of the Fire Nation. The prince's punishment was brutal: a life sentence in the solitary confinement of the Boiling Rock. There, consumed by darkness and sustained by little more than scraps, Zuko waited for the end while the world burned in the apocalypse. But the universe-or perhaps something else-had a second chance in store for him.

Sokka held up his old schedule and looked it over, then grabbed a second schedule that was on his desk and held it up to compare the two. "Uhh, what was the class code again?" "BIO 113." Sokka's face puckered. "I may have discovered the problem." Zuko groaned. Past 'discoveries' with Sokka had taught him to expect the worst. "What?" "You picked up the schedule off my desk?" Sokka asked. "Yeah?" "And signed up for the Intro to Biology class listed?" he continued. Zuko's voice had more frustration in it this time. "Yes." "It wasn't my old transcript you were looking at. Katara gave me a copy of her schedule this year...the code you used was for my sister's class." Zuko blinked. "Your sister who is studying to be a doctor?" Sokka nodded slowly with a grimace. "I'm in a Pre-Med biology class?!" "Yeah..." Sokka trailed off. "That's rough, buddy."

This takes place about a week after the final scene in Avatar, at the tea shop, and Katara has some revelations. Will she be able to push down her feelings when tending to an issue in the Fire Nation, or will it affect her? Does she want to risk her friendship for a crush- or is it more? After the war, the Gaang decides to move in with Iroh at his tea shop apartment for a while, and Iroh realizes he'll need to move into a bigger apartment, maybe even a house, to fit everyone in. Yes, the tea business was thriving, but he couldn't exactly afford a mansion. He got a modest home with 4 bedrooms. One for Sokka and Suki, one for Iroh and Toph (with separate beds, ofcourse), one for Zuko, and one for Aang and Katara. But what happens when Aang and Katara get into a huge fight one night and Katara decides to crash in someone else's room? Read to find out! Got inspired to write this after a Reddit post. Katara can't sleep under the full moon, apparently neither can Zuko.

A 'Canon Divergence', I believe it's called. So, basically, this story picks up when Zuko and Katara are flying back to camp during the 'southern raiders' episode; book 3, episode 14. This fic is an alternate ending, the ending we were robbed of, for Avatar: The Last Airbender. Zuko and Katara, much to Katara's original dismay, are a perfect duo. They balance each other, yin and yang like. They serve as the perfect reminder to each other to not look back; they're not going that way.
