Kate starts singing as she gets ready to tell her husband Tyler the dangerous thing she's about to do on her own. She puts her camera around her neck, throws a bag over her shoulder, walks out of the room and walks out to the barn to go find Tyler. A few minutes later, Kate walks into the barn, sees Tyler teaching their daughter, Moon, about tornadoes, smiles at them and said, "Honey, I'm taking the truck and stopping another tornado like El Reno."

In a small town in Oklahoma, Lydia's life changed dramatically four years ago due to a devastating tornado incident involving her brother, prompting her to leave behind not only her ex-fiancé but also her family without a word. Now residing in Washington as a weather journalist, Lydia's past catches up with her when her best friend, who happened to be her ex-fiancé's sister, arrived to take her back home for a chance to write a compelling tornado story and confront her fears. However, as she faced the storm that once shattered her world, Lydia realized the same 'tornado' that haunted her past has returned, testing her courage and resilience in unexpected ways.
