මැක්ඩොවෙල් කාන්තාරයේ හුදකලා අට්ටාලයක වෙසෙන ජේසන් ස්ටෝන්කෝල්ඩ්, අසාර්ථක වූ ලේඛකයෙකි. ඔහුගේ එකම උනන්දුව වන්නේ පිටසක්වල ජීවීන් සහ කාන්තාර පතොක් අතර ඇති අද්භූත සම්බන්ධයයි. දිනක්, පතොක් සොයා පැමිණෙන අමුත්තෙක් වන 'රිකාඩෝ' සමඟ බීර වීදුරුවක් බෙදාගන්නා ජේසන්, තමා එතෙක් ලියූ පොත්වල අන්තර්ගතය සැබෑවක් වෙමින් පවතින බව වටහා ගනී. නමුත් එය සිහිනයක්ද? බීර, පතොක් සහ ඩේ ජා වූ (Déjà vu) සිහිනයක් මැද අතරමං වන ජේසන්, අවසානයේ දකින්නේ කිසිදා දැකීමට නොපැතූ දසුනකි. මෙය කාන්තාරය මැද සිදුවන අද්භූත විද්යා ප්රබන්ධයකි.
