The sisters had been stuck at the hip since birth, to when Katherine was disowned by their father for birthing a child, all up to when they returned to find their family slaugthered. They needed each other, whether Katherine liked to admit it or not. Kataline was her weakness, something that could be dangled as a bargaining chip that she would choose everytime in exchange for anything. It wasn't until 1864 that the sisters realized their need for each other when they were seperated, for as being a vampire at that time was Katherine's real downfall. Alivia Donavan is a regular human, just like how everyone used to be in Mystic Falls. In fact, besides Matt Donovan she's the only human that's still alive after everything that'd happened. Being the only other Donovan meant her reputation was based on her brothers; sweet, kind, gentle, strong. All of which she was except her slight short temper. Caroline had already dated Matt, Tyler, had a thing with Klaus, and was now interested in Alivia, not stopping to impress until she got her attention. Alivia however wasn't interested.
