This is an after Mockingjay story. Katniss and Peeta managed to survive. The war left on them permanent scars. And now, they shall fight for their future lives. After all that they've been through, they wished everything was bright... Darkness might still stay for a little while... But the fire is finally ceasing. Will Katniss and Peeta find a way to find happiness again?

Katniss is glad the revolution is finally over. She now has some time to herself, but after everything she's been through, there would still be some rough parts of life.

*5 years post rebellion* Katniss' life falls apart piece by piece as she struggle to accept that she cant do anything about it. while in the capitol with she runs into an old "friend" and struggles with herself to believe everything will be ok, when in reality everything is telling her it wont be Please read it! Elizabeth Brown was not one to fool. you could try to trick her all you want but you just couldn't whatsoever. she was born in district 4 with Finnick Odair as her best friend. they were since birth. their parents were best friends.

After the quell, Katniss and Peeta are both rescued. Johanna and Finnick are captured. After the Second Rebellion, Katniss finds herself sinking deeper and deeper into depression. Peeta tries to help, but he doesn't know how to be there for her emotionally or physically when he can't sort out what's real and what's not. All he knows is that he hates seeing her like this, and that, once again, he's falling in love with her.

This is a EVERLARK fan fiction of how I see the two star cross lover coming back together. This story begins when Peeta returns to District 12(so before epilogue but after Mockingjay). Katniss is trying to deal with all her losses and is trying to move past them best she can, while Peeta is still trying to manage his episodes from the hijacking. (Has a similar reunion to the Mockingjay Part 2's) Will Peeta and Katniss ever return to each other? Can Peeta get past his nightmares and episodes, and find the love he's always had for Katniss? Will Peeta help Katniss deal with her survivor guilt or possibly make it worse? Will Katniss ever find the words to explain her feelings or will her fears shut her down? Again this is how I would see Katniss's and Peeta's future. I've read a lot of other stories and they helped me picture my own opinion :)

Katniss Everdeen, now Katniss Mellark has been living a happy life with her husband Peeta and her two kids ever since the rebels won the rebellion. But when the 25th anniversary of the rebels winning comes up and she has to return to the capital, memories return with her.

Gale was reaped. How would he and Katniss survive the games. Do they argue or work together. What happens to Peeta and Prim as a huge secret is revealed. And with the Capitol harsher than ever a rule change can change almost everything...

After the third Quarter Quell everything is going to change. Katniss was taken away with a hovercraft from District 13. And Peeta was captured by the Capitol among with Johanna. Will he succeed to escape? Will he ever be reunited with Katniss again? How will this all end when there's a war coming up? "what?" I say turning to my left so she can repeat herself. "Can I ask you something?" she says staring at the pollen floating past the window, she pauses for a beat, "Can you tell me about what happened to you?" I take a drink, and sigh. I have to take a second to clear my throat before I respond. "Like my games?"

The games are over. So what comes next? The story of Peeta and Katniss finding their way back to one another and putting back the pieces that the games took from them (For anyone, like me, who needs a little extra closure after reading the hunger games trilogy AGAIN hehe)

After the war, Katniss and Peeta return to District 12 to rebuild a life shaped by quiet moments and second chances. With a loyal dog, a mischievous baby goat, and the beginnings of something like peace, they learn how to live - not just survive. As their home slowly turns into a kind of accidental zoo, they discover joy in the ordinary: warm bread, soft mornings, and the slow, steady rhythm of growing up together.

Former Amity member, James Wood has always attempted kindness, but failed consistently.
