This is a EVERLARK fan fiction of how I see the two star cross lover coming back together. This story begins when Peeta returns to District 12(so before epilogue but after Mockingjay). Katniss is trying to deal with all her losses and is trying to move past them best she can, while Peeta is still trying to manage his episodes from the hijacking. (Has a similar reunion to the Mockingjay Part 2's) Will Peeta and Katniss ever return to each other? Can Peeta get past his nightmares and episodes, and find the love he's always had for Katniss? Will Peeta help Katniss deal with her survivor guilt or possibly make it worse? Will Katniss ever find the words to explain her feelings or will her fears shut her down? Again this is how I would see Katniss's and Peeta's future. I've read a lot of other stories and they helped me picture my own opinion :)

Katniss Everdeen, now Katniss Mellark has been living a happy life with her husband Peeta and her two kids ever since the rebels won the rebellion. But when the 25th anniversary of the rebels winning comes up and she has to return to the capital, memories return with her.

After the Second Rebellion, Katniss finds herself sinking deeper and deeper into depression. Peeta tries to help, but he doesn't know how to be there for her emotionally or physically when he can't sort out what's real and what's not. All he knows is that he hates seeing her like this, and that, once again, he's falling in love with her.

The games are over. So what comes next? The story of Peeta and Katniss finding their way back to one another and putting back the pieces that the games took from them (For anyone, like me, who needs a little extra closure after reading the hunger games trilogy AGAIN hehe)

"what?" I say turning to my left so she can repeat herself. "Can I ask you something?" she says staring at the pollen floating past the window, she pauses for a beat, "Can you tell me about what happened to you?" I take a drink, and sigh. I have to take a second to clear my throat before I respond. "Like my games?"

Holly Wellhorn, another 12 girl from town, gets reaped into the 65th Hunger Games with her best friend, Colt Lockleaf and she's determined to make it out. Will she make it or will Finnick?

Clove and Cato hate each other because of what happened in the past. When Cato volunteers to be in the games with her, they can hardly deny their feelings any longer.

Katniss Mellark is still haunted with nightmares. Things were better for a few years. The districts were united and equal to the all but the Capitol. There were no more reapings and no more starving children. People smiled and traveled freely. Then there was an election. A new president rose to power, more power hungry than Snow. He was still hungry. Hungry for another Hunger Games.

Katniss and Peeta are both rescued during the end of Catching Fire. We see them grow more together during this time period in thirteen as they experience the ability to choose whether or not they want to be around each other. We see how they come closer together as Katniss knows now how she feels about Peeta. There's a fall out between Katniss and he best friend. At this moment, Finnick is alive, Annie is safe, Peeta is safe, Prim is alive, and Katniss is more alive than she has felt in years. All credits go to Suzanne Collins for this amazing series.
