Alternative ending for Catching Fire. What if things don't go according to plan during the Quarter Quell? This is a fanfiction based on a romance between Katniss Everdeen & Peeta Mellark. It is first set in the 75th hunger game's arena and is based on the book/film "Catching Fire". The events which happen in this fanfic are sometimes similar to the events which happen in Catching Fire (Only for the first 10 chapters or so) although the events do not happen in the same order and some are missed out because this is just a fanfiction written by me and not Suzanne Collins. hah. After Mockingjay, pre epilogue. Katniss and Peeta's relationship is growing stronger each day. When a drunk Haymitch suggests marriage and even children, it gets them both thinking about taking the next step in their relationship. All credit to the amazing Suzanne Collins! I also did not make any of the artworks used for the chapter covers!

As soon as the arena exploded, I knew our plan had worked. All I needed to do now was find Katniss, Beetee, Finnick or Johanna. I saw a figure in the distance. "Johanna!" I called out to her. A hovercraft circled ahead. Haymitch and district 13 had seen us. We were going to live. "RUN!" Screamed Johanna. Confused I looked up. It wasn't district 13's. It was the Capitol's. Something stung the side of my head and I felt dizzy. I looked back and Johanna was on the ground, being picked up by the machine. We weren't going to make it, but in my heart I knew Katniss was going to be ok.

Katniss Everdeen has moved to a city called Panem after her father died in a car accident that left her family devastated. She is just finishing up college and has just come out of a relationship with her ex, Gale Hawthorne. She says that she will never have a relationship again but, will a blond haired, blue eyed boy steal her heart? Or will Gale come back and somehow get Katniss to forgive him? The full story of what happened after MockingJay.

After surviving the Games, Rye can now return home safely from the Capitol and the Games, before starting the cruel Victory Tour with her fellow tribute Cole. After everything that happened in the Games, Rye keeps reminding herself that it was all an act, but also attempts to at least bond with Cole, so they can make the story more believable. Especially when he reveals that their lives could be at stake if they don't succeed. As the tour ends, rumours are spreading around Panem as the second Quarter Quell is approaching. And then it is announced that the Games will require Rye and Cole to be back in the arena once again. Only this time, it's deadlier. (The Second book in The Mockingjay Games)
