Many people believe fate is something set in stone and unwavering. From the moment someone is born, their path is predestined, and someone will travel that path from beginning to end.
But what if fate's path could be adjusted by made choices? What if the many choices caused a detour to the end result?
A destination is just that; an end. It is the traveled path that makes the destination worthwhile or regrettable.
Throughout life, choices can cause detours, and those detours can cause the path to lengthen or shorten. With a life it is better to lengthen the detours...
Right?
For too many years of his life, Katsuki has made seemingly easy choices when it came to Izuku's life. Those choices aren't forgotten by the abused. They are buried deep within the subconscious of Izuku, festering. It will be up to them both to extend Fate's Road for a chance at something waiting at the destination - Katsuki's Redemption.
This story is my first BakuDeku Fanfic - my first fanfic in general. Some of the canon is mentioned and given an alternate storyline of what happened in manga/anime. I tried to be creative and think of original parts to the story without completely relying on canon from Horikoshi Kōhei who is the original creator of the series. Also, at the beginning of each chapter is a song that helped me set the feel for the chapter, and I hope it does the same for you. All of the music can be found on Youtube. Copy and paste the song title and artist into the search bar.
I am also still learning the vocabulary related to fanfics, so if there is something that isn't correct, please let me know.
With that, I hope you enjoy! And thank you for giving this piece a chance.
