He thought of planets first. Colliding. All the quietness of empty space, the throat of a champagne bottle hitting the hull, the reflection of candlelight on linoleum. It didn't matter what the planets were before, because they failed to live in this one, exact second. They were soft, drawn out, long movements and lingering tilts. The lightest sort of kissing with the heaviest demeanor. Minor adjustments were sharpened like camera lenses, so clear and concise through the glass that there were electric blue liners chasing the corners. Planets; planets, now, planets meant nothing. Planets didn't even compare. He was his own construction. He was uncharted divinity. This story takes place in the school au shown near the end of evangelion ! There are no angels or Nerve, any other details will be thoroughly explained throughout the fanfic. ILL BE UPLOADING REGULARLY SO PLEASE DONT AVOID THIS BECAUSE OF ITS CURRENT LENGTH.

Misato Katsuragi tells Shinji something about feelings that give him a lot to think about. He asks Kaworu to help him understand what exactly she meant with that expression, and things turn out being a bit more literal than he'd previously thought. or The one in which Kaworu thinks he's totally receiving a love declaration from the dork he's in love with. In a dystopian world scientists have created a drug that can temporarily kill you. After they give this drug to "volunteers" with special machines they can monitor them in the afterlife in their effort to answer humanity's number one mystery: What comes after death. Though experiments keep failing with the volunteers waking up with no memories, traumatized and shocked to the point they never talk again. Shinji and Kaworu are different though, they didn't wake up at all. At the same time everyone thinks they are dead and never coming back, they desperately try to find a way to come back from the spiritual world they ended up together.

Shinji, alone, confused and purposeless finds himself at the famous Mystery Flesh Pit National Park. Among giant bugs, and dark, surreal landscapes, Shinji discovers an unlikely companion named Kaworu. Will he and Kaworu make it out of the Flesh Pit alive? And will romance bloom in the process?

Shinji Ikari is lonely and depressed. He has no real friends and his father hates him. He feels like he's lost all hope. That is, until a boy named Kaworu Nagisa comes into his life. And their shared love of music grows into something much more.
