This is a modern-ish Evangelion fan fic. I can't promise I'll update this a lot, since I'm just writing this for fun. Plot will follow the original anime, but with no mechas or Evas. Since this is just for fun, I don't really have a plot, but instead it's a more casual/emotional story. This fic will have a lot of kaworu x shinji, and interactions with the main cast. Unlike the anime, this will focus more on school (I'm making it so that they're in high-school because, I'm not sure how American school systems work). Also they're will be a lot of clichés, because why not! Warning: extremely negative Shinji, and some mild cursing. - Shinji gets a letter from his father, asking him to come to Tokyo, and for once on his life he starts to think that his father misses him. Of course, he's wrong though, because what did Shinji expect. When he moves in with his new guardian, Misato, and she asks him to vent by writing in a diary; Shinji does just that. While also going to test his dad's new VR console invention, with another strange girl. Shinji makes new friends and starts to rebel, more kids transfer to their school, and clichés ensue. - Will contain: Biology-nerd Asuka Salty and depressed Shinji Quiet-girl Rei Lesbian-icon Mari Supa-gay-punk Kaworu And A ton of diary entries

In the original timeline of evangelion, just in Shinjis dreams. This takes place in episode 26 of the original anime. A therapy group Evangelion AU, includes alot of Kawoshin (lol) but also develops the other friendships in eva.

Shinji, an anxious, sheltered, and traumatized boy, has always preferred a life that others may call dull and simple, but for people like him, it is the only time he knows peace and security. During a sentimental nighttime stroll with a special someone, he soon learns that exiting this bubble does not always lead to bad things, at least any more than they lead to life's greatest treasures.

Misato Katsuragi tells Shinji something about feelings that give him a lot to think about. He asks Kaworu to help him understand what exactly she meant with that expression, and things turn out being a bit more literal than he'd previously thought. or The one in which Kaworu thinks he's totally receiving a love declaration from the dork he's in love with.
