Upon her arrival, she feels a special connection to Thomas, one of the latest that was sent into the Glade-aside from Teresa. Her friendship grows with him, but it's a very brotherly relationship. Though Kate was settling into the Glade more or less okay, WICKED was breaking after their biggest experiment suddenly disappearing. Only one within the system could get Kate out of WICKED headquarters and into the Glade, which meant someone had aided Kate with her escape.
