Over the past four years, the streets of London have run rampant with crime. To combat this darkness, Kazuma has disguised himself as The Warden-a mysterious swordsman who guards the streets without shedding blood. When those who have evaded justice suddenly begin to meet violent ends, terrible rumours erupt. Is the man responsible for these killings The Warden, too overburdened by the darkness around him to resist? Is it the ghost of Lord Stronghart? Or is it someone else entirely? Ryunosuke and Susato are desperate to uncover the truth and prove Kazuma's innocence. But their investigations may take a far more dangerous turn than anyone could have anticipated.

During the Age of Industry, Ryunosuke, the ancestor to Phoenix Wright, heads to the Gala region with his friends, Susato Mikotoba, Kazuma Asogi, and Haori Murasame under the watchful eye of Professor Yujin Mikotoba. They met and team up with the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his wonderful assistant, Dr. Iris Watson. However, they soon find themselves in a great struggle to find the truth behind a dark case. A prelude of more events to come and the start of a hundred year vow, Ryunosuke Naruhodō goes to court with everything he has!

Ten years ago, a horrible beast took the life of Kazuma's father. When news reaches the Mikotoba family that the monster has once again stolen a life out in the British countryside, Susato joins Kazuma, her father, and their friend Ryunosuke on a long journey to investigate the disappearances. But Kazuma's desire for vengeance is enflamed by a local hunter who relentlessly seeks to slay the beast, and soon he is consumed by a new purpose: training to kill. As they settle warily into the village, Susato finds herself taking up a task that throws her into a strange manor surrounded by a permanent mist. And directly into the path of that same beast. Struck by the beast's haunted eyes, Susato's fear for her life begins to wither beneath a sense of compassion that will lead to a startling discovery. For the truth is not at all what it seems.

Barok van Zieks lives a happy life with his brother, sister-in-law, and his charming niece. His reputation is spotless and he has advanced well in his career. Yet Barok begins to realise something is missing in his life. Susato Mikotoba has spent the last twenty-two years only hearing stories about her father. When the Asogi family embarks for Britain in order to study law and revisit old friends, Susato is forced to begin a new life and to confront the source of her pain.
