Who knew ghosts were so weird? And dancey? And punny? And super, duper, expertly annoying? Let's hope Dex filing his nonexistent nails can cure Keefe of his moderate feelings of sadness. In which: -Dex Dizznee is a ghost, but he's taking it to a whole new level of annoying -Keefe Sencen is the only one who can see, feel, or hear Dex and it's driving him even more insane -Kesler is a great dad to Keefe but also has no idea Dex is giving him tips to get on his parent's good side. Let alone that his son is in the room. -Ro knows Keefe lost it a while ago, so really she isn't fazed. -Lovise, meanwhile, is fazed. -The Squad (TM) literally just thinks Keefe is crazy. Mad as a hatter, if you will. Off his rocker. Gone around the bend. Lost his marbles. Might be on drugs. --All they know is that he's whispering to the corner (for no visible reason). And glaring at the wall (for no visible reason). And looking very much like he wants to beat said wall senseless (for no visible reason). A KotLC Human Keefex AU. Keefe has just started working for M.O.O.N.L.A.R.K., a top secret organization devoted to protecting the world. He has been assigned to the scatterbrained, creative, and way-too-cute scientist, Professor Dizznee. As his bodyguard, Keefe will assist him in stopping a freak storm that roams their world, seemingly hellbent on destroying humanity.

Keefe has fucked up. No, he's really, really done it this time. He told Lady Belva - who's known to be unable to keep her mouth shut - that he's seeing someone. And then he gave that someone a name. Dex Dizznee. Only thing is, it was all a lie. So what are the two boys supposed to do when she lets the information leak?

Hello! This is a collection of oneshots that take place in the universe of my kotlc royalty au: Royal Screw-Ups. Alas, you have to read RSU to know what's happening in this, but no worries because it's also right here on my Wattpad. Currently there are three planned parts, and the universe of RSU was planned out before Unlocked, so this is spoiler free.

Many things surprised Keefe about the Forbidden Cities; the food, buildings, how loud it was, how people could breathe with the terrible air quality, but what shocked him the most was the weather. Sure, the Lost Cities got its fair share of rain and storms, but it really got to him when he heard about human seasons. An elf would have to like making things pretty difficult for themselves if they choose to live where they could get snowed in or burnt to a crisp whenever the universe felt like it. Even when that was the case, estates in riskier places had some protection on their side to stop them from getting flooded or flattened. Sophie said that she barely noticed the difference, but it still messed with Keefe's head whenever the topic came up. At least that's what he told himself as he stared out the window while snowflakes whipped against the clear panes instead of finishing his empathy homework. (Happy holidays and, as my gift to you, I present some wintery fluff because who's going to stop me?)

When Dex and Keefe get roped into dare by Sophie, they both decide to go through with it. Feelings come up. Bonding happens. Dex and Keefe didn't see this coming. Sophie planned it entirely. But, they did pinky promise.

Keefe hated that he still loved this place. Objectively, it smelled like a gulon's armpit, the ground was covered in an inky film, and he found the area during one of the worst periods of his life. Some part of him still looked over his shoulder whenever a selkie cried in the distance in case it was the Neverseen that disturbed it. Still... he came back every once in a while. (Day 1 of Keefex week: Queerplatonic)

Why the heck am I here, Dex questioned himself from his side of the room. Who on this whole forsaken Council thought it was a good idea to bring a nervous technology train wreck into the nobility, let alone to a very important inter-species meeting? They already tried that with Sophie, and it clearly didn't go very well. I mostly wrote this to outline one of my many headcanons and show some love for my favorite kotlc ship. For reference, this is roughly set after Legacy when some treaties would need to rewritten and our boys just need a break.
