When Dex and Keefe get roped into dare by Sophie, they both decide to go through with it. Feelings come up. Bonding happens. Dex and Keefe didn't see this coming. Sophie planned it entirely. But, they did pinky promise.

Many things surprised Keefe about the Forbidden Cities; the food, buildings, how loud it was, how people could breathe with the terrible air quality, but what shocked him the most was the weather. Sure, the Lost Cities got its fair share of rain and storms, but it really got to him when he heard about human seasons. An elf would have to like making things pretty difficult for themselves if they choose to live where they could get snowed in or burnt to a crisp whenever the universe felt like it. Even when that was the case, estates in riskier places had some protection on their side to stop them from getting flooded or flattened. Sophie said that she barely noticed the difference, but it still messed with Keefe's head whenever the topic came up. At least that's what he told himself as he stared out the window while snowflakes whipped against the clear panes instead of finishing his empathy homework. (Happy holidays and, as my gift to you, I present some wintery fluff because who's going to stop me?)

"Hey." "Do you want to hack the Registry?" His eyes widened on instinct. Some part of Keefe would probably never get used to his friend's causal espionage even as it barely phased Dex anymore. "Of course, although should I ask why?" "It's nothing too bad." From the small screen, Dex turned away for a second, organizing some tools on what must have been his desk in front of him. "I'm just checking some Registry files for security stuff." (Keefe and Dex hacking the Registry in Unlocked was too cute for me not to write. Also, this is my piece for the 2022 Kotlc Secret Santa Exchange hosted by Song-Tam. I had a lot of fun making this, so I hope it turned out.) Why the heck am I here, Dex questioned himself from his side of the room. Who on this whole forsaken Council thought it was a good idea to bring a nervous technology train wreck into the nobility, let alone to a very important inter-species meeting? They already tried that with Sophie, and it clearly didn't go very well. I mostly wrote this to outline one of my many headcanons and show some love for my favorite kotlc ship. For reference, this is roughly set after Legacy when some treaties would need to rewritten and our boys just need a break.

Dex helped the technopath Tinker from Black Swan. But during he was working there, the door bell rang and Dex must open the door. It's Keefe who wanted to pick him up to visit their friends. While they were walking Dex noticed that he actually really likes the empath next to him. How can he deal with it without Keefe noticing? (Will include fluff!) And I'm not a native speaker of English so I'm sorry if I do any mistakes!

WRITTEN BEFORE FLASHBACK [Update schedule: Every 1-3 months Last update: April 16, 2022] Keefe's been heartbroken, the one he loved starts to go out with someone else, his best friend Fitz. Dex is also upset, he finally gets over Sophie, and he began liking Biana. Problem with that is that she's with Tam. He's been faced with the pain of being unnoticed, as all his friends have been to busy with their love life to notice. When the two find out each other's problems, they try and work together and get better. Two pranking buddies work together to get revenge. In a world where you can't always choose who to love, what will they do when they begin to have feelings for each other? I'm open to constructive criticism, I'd love to know how I can do better.

In this fanfic Dex and Keefe figure out there feelings for each other. "Did you hear that?". "I did Dizznee, and don't worry I love you too".

When a prank on Dame Alina goes sideways, Keefe does the only thing he can think of to get him and Dex out of a bad situation. A sequence of misunderstandings, messy situations, and stumbling confessions follow the incident, forcing Keefe and Dex to re-evaluate what love and friendship mean to them. Basically, I thought the Keeper of the Lost Cities tag needed more Keefex so I wrote my own. Disclaimer: This story is set around the time of the first and second books and doesn't follow the exact plot of original series. I'm just having fun with Shannon's characters

The noise started just before dawn when the surrounding farmers woke up to tend to their livestock. Animals braying in the fields filled the dimly lit hills, acting as a baseline for the loud morning to come. Next would come the baker and then the blacksmith and only then would other shops begin to open. Dex tapped a stick of charcoal on the edge of his notebook. He'd head into town around that time, dropping off a few of his parents' remedies, picking up more chicken feed, and checking on Monsieur Elwin's backdoor hinges. They always seem to creak around this time of year and the older man couldn't quite reach the upper ones by himself. Maybe he'd lend Dex some of his alchemy papers... (I return from the grave with a Keefex Beauty and the Beast AU in which I thought way too hard about the worldbuilding.)

Dex couldn't tell if he wanted to kiss Keefe, or suffocate him with his own stupidity. -- Keefe brings Dex out on a double date he was asked to, but - ah - things don't exactly go as planned... and now they're famous.
