After the Giant War II, Percy thought he could have some time with his friends, until Chiron said that a woman with unusual powers were bringing monsters back to life. Dex is used to being invisible. He's used to not being seen by the popular people, used to just sitting in the background, being a background character in other people's stories. Dex doesn't mind it at all, he enjoys it in fact. Unfortunately, that changes when Wonderboy (Fitz Vacker) starts to pay him attention, talks to him and invites him to a party. Suddenly everyone paid attention to Dex since he had the attention of the most popular guy in their school.

Sophie and Fitz have been dating, somewhat happily, for a while, but soon, Sophie can't keep up with being in a relationship with Fitz, keeping her grades up, and dealing with the Neverseen. She decides she and Fitz should take a break until she figures everything out for herself. Fitz thinks it means Sophie is implying she is too good for him. He gets angry and starts stirring up lots of drama for no reason. Fitz convinces all of their friends to hate Sophie, but Keefe stays by Sophie's side when no one else does. This story takes place sometime before Fitz and Sophie officially break up, so before legacy. All characters belong to Shannon Messenger in her Keeper of the Lost Cities series.

Sophie is sent back to her 16 year old self. She missed her husband Keefe and wonders how to get home....
