Ember Anderson has a troubled past. When she was only eight, her twin brother disappeared. With her father already dead, she is left with a broken relationship with her mother. Salutem. It means Salvation in Latin. Just like the Latin says Salutem was salvation. Salutem is a growing village in the deep mountains of Canada. It is unheard of by the humans, but to the supernatural beings that roam this world it is a safe place. Salutem is a place for the supernatural to come for safety and peace. It is meant to be a place where you can start over and be who you are without being judged. It's a village where you are accepted. For a witch she didn't believe in it. She was cast out since she was born. A freak within her species. Believed to be a devil of some sorts. This young witch had no body and lived as an outsider hated and feared. Alexander is a keeper as is his brothers. Keepers are a group made up of all kinds of supernatural beings who live in Salutem. Their jobs is to protect the supernatural beings both in and out of Salutem. They are the ones who bring in the different supernatural beings who are seeker to start over. The keepers job is to keep peace and safety among the supernatural kinds. When Alexander runs into the young witch he sees her not as a freak or monster, but as a broken girl who is in need of her own place. With a little bit of reasoning he gets her to agree to come with him to Salutem. There she meets new faces and species. There she finds friendship, acceptance, and even love. Will the young witch be able to live in peace and find a place for herself or will her past catch up to her and ruin her new chance at a better life.

Hi so this is a story written by one of my friends but she said i could post it on here. We had one simple rule. Never, ever go into Mr. Jones' old house...and I blew it. The only problem is that I couldn't really see why we had that rule in the first place. Mr. Jones was a regular man and he moved out of their years ago. It's just some rusty old house. The biggest danger would be a loose floorboard and if that is the only reason why we can't go over there I see no point for this silly rule. In fact, I think that there would be no reason not to go over there. Just telling me I can't makes me want to go over there even more.
