A team of marine researchers working for an offshore science-led company were faced with catastrophe when a mysterious tidal wave hit the bottom trench of the ocean; leading them to be faced into a tragic discovery that was far off their ever made explorations. My entry to the #Andthen contest.

One Weird Day is a collection of my short stories. The genres are horror, sci-fi, magic realism, slipstream - in short, the weird stuff! These are my one shots stories!! It might stay at one story haha, I had never written a short story before the first one. The first one is for a competition of sci fi / Fantasy from Wattpad, it's cute, I promise :) The 4th & 5th one are from the contest Rewind the classics, which I won in both languages for the flash fiction!! :D Dit zijn mijn one shots! While seeking the answers up above, we failed to look down below. As aftermath approached, old histories repeated, buried mysteries unfolded, lost dynasties emerged, empyrean knowledge shined through. Yet again, all this was lost to the World Above as her World turned Upside Down.

You know when you have some writing ideas in your head and it haunts you almost day after day until you write it down? Like you can't think of anything else until you write down the scenes in your head? Well there you go. Here is mine. I would also appreciate some feedback on some things and if you guys would like me to pursue any of these stories. I also am hoping that this will help me get out of my writers block a bit. The whole world was normal, not until an elite family saw a merman with a bright blue tail and rainbow eyes. The family who saw the merman owns a big seafood factory. It was a big advantage for them to make their business grow even more. They kept the merman because they thought it will make them more powerful and lucky. The world became greedy. Everyone wants to own the merman. Luckily, before they get him, a girl saves him. A girl who was adopted by an elite family, the family who found the merman. But, who will know that because of the disappearance of the merman, it will change the world- the cruel world. I'm a huge fan on Wattpad and other writer platforms, and I am a super-fast reader and I go through a lot of stories so I have a few pointers that I really feel some of you should know about. These are things that really, really, irritate me (and other readers) and will keep us from finishing or following your story. I can't tell you how many stories I will stop reading after a few chapters because of the things I'm outlining below. If you want to be a successful author, please pay attention to these things. I'm not writing this to discourage writers, on the contrary, I'm writing this because I want to help writers. Sometimes you need to hear from those of us who just read.
