Because what happens when the mask of Ren Takeda falls off and reveals Mikasa Kosai. Will Hawk's accept you as you are? ( I do want to clarify that your character does have a name and appearance/ look already established in the story; however, if you do not like it, then feel free to imagine yourself differently. It's just easier for me to write the story with a character already established, kind of like a placeholder).
