after the loss of their leader shiro to the dangerous galra, the team of space pilots had been going on missions trying to find and rescue him. when pidge got herself captured aswell lance couldnt take it anymore and lashed out on their new leader keith who in his eyes didnt deserve the title. keith on other hand tried remaining strong in front of the team like he always did, not showing his pain until he was alone. fighting with himself to hide his true form and accepting all painful insults from lance in silence. until they've went on another mission and keith knew he wasnt worth as much as the rest of the team, he knew if it meant sacrificing himself for the team he would do it. but will he be the same after it ? will lance realize and be able to mend the scars and broken pieces keith had hid away in shame for so long?

Lance and Keith are mortal enemies, and their constant snide remarks and bickering are beginning to annoy the other Paladins. The only times they get along are when one Is saving the other's butt. When Shiro and Pidge are taken by Galra soldiers, the remaining three Paladins have to bring them back. Keith has to be used as bait, Hunk's not acting quite right, and Lance has begun confining himself to his room. The three seem to be going crazy, and nothing seems to turn out quite right. But unfortunately, Keith falls into the Galra's hands, Lance blames himself. It's all his fault, and the only way to clear himself of the guilt is to save Keith. But at what cost?

Keith has liked lance for as long as he can remember, although, he would never tell anyone. Lance knows he likes Keith, but he battles with himself daily, trying to convince himself that he doesn't. But when a certain Pidge gets involved, the too start to become a lot closer than just friends... How will it play out?
