Everyone knows the story of Voltron: five humans chosen to defend the universe. But none of them are prepared for the truth buried beneath ten thousand years of silence.
Long before Altea fell, Princess Allura had a younger brother-a gentle, curious prince stolen by the Galra at only five years old. With war closing in, the royal family mourned him and moved forward, believing he had been lost forever.
But the universe had other plans.
Ten thousand years later, Allura awakens and begins training a new generation of Paladins. Among them is Lance, a boy who has never quite felt like he belonged-never able to explain the strange pull in his chest or the sense that something inside him didn't match the life he'd lived.
Then, during a mission aboard a Galra ship, everything changes.
The same Galra who stole the prince knocks Lance unconscious, whispering that he was "meant for something greater." In the hours that follow, Lance becomes the victim of a purpose set in motion millennia ago. By the time the team finds him-shaken, injured, and terrified-they have no idea what has been done to him.
Not yet.
Only later do they uncover the truth: the Galra didn't kidnap Lance to resurrect an ancient ruler. They took him to create a new one. And the reason Lance has always felt different is because he is different-Altean by blood, heir by birth, and now unwillingly carrying the future of the Galra Empire.
As the team struggles to protect him, Allura faces the impossible: the brother she lost is standing right in front of her, unaware of the legacy he carries. And Lance must confront a destiny he never asked for, shaped by a past he never knew.
The universe thought it needed Voltron.
But it may need the lost prince even more.
