This story takes place after the team defeated Zarkon and was allowed to head back to earth. The team is ready to go home and greet their families until Keith is contacted by Dumbledore asking for help from Black Phoenix and his team

keith wonders what his father would say, seeing him dripping with happiness and surrounded by friends. but that's a pointless wonder, because keith can already picture that large stature behind him, gentle hands resting on his arms, face lit up with a grin of pride. he'd take in a shaky breath, whisper, "you did it, pal." he knows, because it was his father's greatest promise. --- team voltron decided to celebrate keith's birthday for the first time since he turned ten and it's awfully nostalgic.
