Trying to plan a wedding with disapproving family is hard enough without also trying to conceal a pregnancy. But he refuses to father a child out of wedlock, no matter the cost. Will she rise to the occasion?
----
Canary hadn't known about Maine's family wealth when she fell in love with him. He seemed like just another normal Philly guy, albeit a bit more proper. It hadn't shocked her, however, that his family was far from pleased with their relationship- Canary couldn't discern a salad fork from a dessert fork, and the polished etiquette of the affluent made her cringe.
When she discovers she's with child, Canary suggests they emerge from Maine's lavish seaside getaway in Zanzibar and return to Philadelphia to share the news. But Maine insists--and he isn't backing down--that they get married first.
Reluctant to tie the knot, Canary can't imagine raising her little one in Maine's world of charity galas and polo tournaments. Besides, her dream wedding is a seaside elopement with those dear to her heart, not some extravagant ball at a rolling estate surrounded by the insatiable.
Torn, the couple can't find the middle ground, not with their families now at war, too. But they can't deny one thing: their lovely little birdie needs protecting.
