The orphan immediately took a shine to two of the Swords, but is rather hesitant with bonding with the final sword; Cobalion. And quite honestly, he feels the same about the young orphan. It's not that he hates the child, oh no. It's the fact that children are rather intimidated by him... making him... kinda bad with children as a result. (Originally penned in 2020)
