Kellin Quinn’s life has dealt him nothing but a series of bad hands. Though cautious of every person he comes into contact with, he finds himself growing attached to Vic Fuentes, whose life might be just as fucked up as his. But things are far from sunshine and rainbows, and this next bad hand just might make them both snap.

Kellin Quinn was addicted to being out on the ice. It's all he ever did his whole life. However, this dedication caused him to miss out on some key things in life. He never got to experience romance. At least not until a sexy doctor starts to show up at the rink.

Former high school sweethearts Kellin and Vic meet again in their hometown after fifteen years of not seeing each other, and soon find themselves on a trip down memory lane. Inspired by the film Blue Jay (2016) directed by Alex Lehmann.

Kellin Quinn was a name no one heard. He is a loner, a nobody. No one cared when he moved schools. No one cared about the mysterious bruises and cuts on his body. No one cared when he was hospitalized for something his father did to him. He always thought no one cared for him. It's just how his life always went. So how does he cope when someone tries to show that they care about him? Will he be able to let them in or will he push them away? - - - This story may be triggering to some readers. This story does have self-harm, abuse, rape (not detailed. It happens twice), mentions of rape, and an abortion. The chapters where these happen will have two asterisks(**) next to the title. Vic only wanted to please the fans when he asked Kellin to record a song with his band. He never expected to fall in love with the guy. It was just a song. It was just a music video. It was just a tour. This wasn't supposed to happen. But it did.
