Kellin Quinn’s life has dealt him nothing but a series of bad hands. Though cautious of every person he comes into contact with, he finds himself growing attached to Vic Fuentes, whose life might be just as fucked up as his. But things are far from sunshine and rainbows, and this next bad hand just might make them both snap.

Vic is Kellin's guardian angel but can't be with him or else he will fall from heaven. When the big man sends Vic down to earth to watch Kellin more closely will Vic give up his job to be with Kellin?

{BASED ON THE NOTEBOOK} Vic and Kellin didn't have the perfect relationship. Not at all. They fought like any couple had little 'break-ups' but in the end they were madly in love. Summer love. That's what it was. Kellin was rich Vic was far from it but the two were more perfect for each other than anyone. Kellin is only there for the summer. What happens when the summer comes to an end and all they have left is the memories?

Vic lost the person he loved the most to suicide. Graduation day was the day his whole life changed, he experiences something that can't be explained, and something that can land him in the mental ward if he tells anyone exactly what he sees, or who he sees.

They say that the person least like you is the one made for you. You balance each other out to the point where you can create something beautiful. But when the odds are against you and you can't pull yourself out of the hole you've found yourself in, it may be hard to find your missing piece.

After the death of Kellin's best friend Hayley, Kellin quickly falls into a depression. As he moves through the motions of answering the questions of his psychologist and the teachers at his boarding school, Pine Hills, he starts to believe that he's going crazy. He thinks he's seeing the ghost of the boy who committed suicide years ago in the halls of that very boarding school. And he might even be becoming very close friends with this so called ghost.

You know, writing is good for you. It helps stimulate your brain, helps express creative aspects of yourself that you never thought you had, and it also might possibly allow a character from your imagination to magically show up in your first period Creative Writing class. Vic didn't know what to expect when his dream guy, that's actually a character in a story that he's writing, to show up at his school as a new student. Kellin didn't understand why he was so attracted to Vic. The bad boys are usually never the type to fall in love, he had always been a Wanderer, but he wanted Vic so badly. These two are an unlikely match, Vic coming from a seemingly perfect home life, and Kellin coming from a broken home where his Mother is just making ends meet for the two. But something makes these two boys get real close and personal... Somewhere in Vic there is a little sass-master that needs to be taught how to express itself... and Kellin is the perfect person to do so.
