Kellin is this innocent 17 year-old boy who people view as a walking example of adorable and pure innocence. He's getting a little bit bored, though. He wanted to do something new, something out of his usual zone; he decided to go and sign up as a helper in their local church.

Kellin Quinn is forced to move with his father to a small community in San Diego. He never even heard of the place but now he's living there. Kellin hasn't even unpacked his boxes when his father enrolls him into what is suppose to be the best high school in the town. Clairemont High looks like one of the worst schools on the face of the earth. It reminds kellin of the stereotypical high schools he use to watch on TV when he was little. But honestly speaking it is exactly like that, he notes all the cliques right away, your typical jocks, cheerleaders, school council, nerds, emos, and outcasts. But one really catches his eye and confuses him. A group of 4 mexican looking guys. It looks like the shortest one is the leader of the group because the other 3 are circling him. Almost protecting him from everyone else. He mentally notes to stay away from them. But as life goes on he finds that hard. There's just something different about the short one. Something he will soon learn.

Kellin Quinn had done nothing wrong to be dragged from his house in the middle of the night. He had done nothing to be tied to the post, to be beaten. He had done nothing to almost be set on fire, to almost die. Or had he? After being saved by the dangerous rebel, Vic Fuentes, Kellin finds out that he has powers. Not many people have these powers, and the government wants to keep it that way to stop any form of rebellion. What they don't know, though, is that Kellin himself is a form of rebellion. He is a hurricane, and he will lead the rebellion with the help of Vic. The only problem is that the government is out to get him, and will stop at nothing to ensure the rebels defeat. Vic Fuentes has lived a normal guy's life, up until the point he is forced to go to a Sleeping With Sirens concert to babysit his brother, Mike. The lead singer of the band throws a bracelet into the crowd, which lands into Vic's hands. On the bracelet is Kellin Quinn's phone number. Despite Mike's attempts and threats to get this sacred information, Vic will not give it up... Why? He just heard about the band. Not like he is actually falling for the lead singer's beautiful eyes...

Vic doesn't want anyone to know his dirty, little secret. That night, his mind set wasn't right; so maybe even he doesn't know for sure what happened... Ever since then Vic has been the most powerful guy in high school. Kellin rarely shows up to school, it's not that he doesn't care; his teachers are just so annoying. No one messes with Kellin, and when he hears whispering through the bathroom stall he smirks as Vic's secret comes spilling out of his lips.

Kellin loves his sister and would do anything for her. Too bad Vic had to be involved in the little scheme.
