Butters has always been a happy person.. well at least to everyone at school.. While no one really pays attention to the small happy boy, he's really suffering abuse from his parents and other loved ones. Kenny McCormick always saw Butters as a happy, inspiring person... However one day, he noticed blood stains on Butter's long sleeved shirt......... What could it be..?.....

**very short, quick read!!** a small look into the lives of kenny and butters growing up together, and finding difficulty letting go. . warning: brief mentions of child abuse. . note: this was actually a piece i submitted to a literary magazine for publishing in 2019 as a project for a creative writing course i took, which is why it's as short as it is. i have heavily contemplated making a longer story based on this little one, so if that interests anybody i'd love to know :) initially uploaded on ao3 as neighborhoodscum, reuploaded and revised
