While the team works to locate and neutralize the threat, Deeks' fights to protect the scared little girl in his custody while dealing with the darkness rising up to the surface seeking to consume him completely and destroy everything he holds dear.

A well-deserved weekend off allows the team of NCIS: Los Angeles to relax and reconnect with one another after a particularly bad week of nastiness. A series of 'one-shots' featuring interactions between character relationships and a beach party at the end...

This is the next in a line of stories that further develop the NCIS:LA team and move it forward toward a larger incident that has long-lasting implications for the team and the Nation as a whole. I thought I'd take a series of cases that test the team's cohesiveness and unity to the brink and in some cases, over the precipice. I wanted to explore their individual and collective relationships with one another and see what flushes out at the end. Will the daunting string of cases pull them apart, or drive them together. And speaking of relationships, what of Deeks and Kensi and their romantic involvement? Can they keep it together, or will they have to move on? Likewise, Kerigan and Clay...where do they go from here? How will Hetty keep her family whole when Murphy is bent on tearing them apart?

Nothing drives me more crazy than hearing adults despairingly utter the words, "kids have changed." I sure hope they have! The world has undergone rapid change over the past decade and will continue to do so moving forward. Today's youth are different than the kids before them. But so were the kids before that, and the ones before that. If coaches want to connect with their kids and lead a competitive team, they must adapt as well. Change is scary but essential. The media provides more than enough examples of how not to do things. But as an athlete's coach, you can be an incredible role model in their life. Showing them how to step up and handle difficult situations is one of the greatest gifts we can give them.
