After escaping kidnapping by the Dime Lions you find yourself stumbling into one of the many gambling dens of Ketterdam and falling into a life of crime, all the while become increasingly closer to the mysterious leader of the dregs, the bastard of the Barrel himself.

Perilous darkness wanders on the sea like its unyielding waves and Inej seeks to end them, before they end her. Her past caused her to tread this journey but it is hope that navigates her across the True Sea and to hunt down slavers from selling people like inanimate objects. But is it her alone that has to venture on this dangerous path and walk into the jaws of death? Does she has to aid this invisible cause while the royalty seeks their luxuries?
